While Ben owns the forum and content, he showed absolutely no respect to those that had been adding content when he unilaterally decided to nuke all those threads. As you posted, all it would have taken was a heads up that he was going to delete threads in x no. of days. Did you read my post where I said that it is probably not right but as the owner of the forum... he has the right to do what he wants.... much the same as the owners of this site and other sites. You ask what I find disrespectful ...this is what I find disrespectful about what we are talking about. I find it disrespectful that people who sign up to a free forum.... agree to abide by the rules....but get their nose out of joint because the person/people who own/run the forum apply them but they think that they should dictate terms to the owner. I find it disrespectful when the people who sign up to a forum think that they are more important than the person who owns it and over time they think in fact that they are proxy owners, act accordingly and drive other BMs away because they have different views and posting styles. I find it disrespectful that the ones who crawled up Ben's arse when all was going well... regularly posted that they were in his company and enjoyed it but because he decided to move on to other ventures now think and openly state he was nothing but a c##t in their eyes...two faced??. The bloke owned the forum.... it is up to him what he wanted to do with it...especially when he supplied it for free. I wish it was still going.... it is not.... most have moved on.... but interesting the ones who have not moved on...or cannot.... are the ones who were up his arse since day one and cannot accept his decision. It was only a forum..... get over it..... it is not the end of the world. A drop in the ocean compared with Chang Fai's 70,000+, but when he left the board due to the ignorance of an illiterate, drugged-up moron, with no support from the admin, it was pretty clear that the end was nigh. It was a fun and (mostly) friendly place to post for quite a few years, but as Robert Frost said, "Nothing gold can stay." Over the last few months it's become painful even to look at it, poor old big john with his daily power walk exchange rate update, and that was about as informative and useful as it got.
