That's a damn good deal. Tesco's used to have a "fine wines" section which they discontinued after a while sadly, but still occasionally do the "buy 6 and get 25% off" deal.

Majestic had a Rose sale on yesterday, shame though because Rose gives me horrific heartburn.

Be careful if you ever meet up with @Nightcrawler, last time the tight git put some Blue Nun through the Sodastream and tried to pass it off as Champagne.

I think ASDA also have a buy 6 25% off deal at the moment. When I get close to running out I do a Google trawl & there's usually a deal on somewhere, although I've yet to find one as good as Sainsburys....& it's our closest supermarket.

Just home from the pub, Was great to catch up with so many people. Am fairly pissed. Just trying to cook my dinner while keeping a sense of normality. Opened a bottle of red but feel I will not make the evening out before falling asleep.

Yesterday I had this fellow  come over and knock down a tree that I needed removing (reluctantly) - I've hired him before and he is probably the most physically-fit guy I have ever met, as well as having nerves of steel; he made it up another 15' or so limbing the tree before cutting it into sections and dropping them on the way down. Normally I manage my own tree falling on the property but this one was too big and too close to my house and power service to risk doing on my own - I told him I would clean up the mess and he only charged me $150 CDN (88 GBP); now that I have had my brekkie, I'm going to go out and do this - next job will be pulling this stump and others nearby which should make a fine mess of my driveway in that area...

I'm similar, up at 4 on workdays and leave about 5.20.Need a bit of waking up time, breakfast etc.

Finish at 2.30pm so gives a nice long evening in the summer. Only thing is that I wake up similar time on non work days out of habit, can't remember the last time I had a lie in.

Going to take my Grandson to Halfords this afternoon to choose and hopefully buy a bicycle for his Birthday.

He is very excited, as I was when I got my first proper bike without stabilisers. Going to get a helmet, gloves and kneepads to be on the safe side. That's just for me 😁

Booked a table for later at Toby Carvery. But not much fun when you can't go up yourself for seconds and thirds and have to ask the waiter instead, who then knows that you are a greedy bastard. It's the only place he likes, second the Mc Donalds.

I never thought I would ever say this but I really envy all you guys posting about everyday life in the UK.

I cycled for 45 minutes this morning after which I power walked 6 laps of my "walking circuit" round the big field that is opposite the house in Bangsaray. By the time I had finished the sun was full blast and the humidity off the scale because it pissed down last night.

I have been shopping in Big C which is 10 minutes further down the Sukhumvit road.

Not a thing planned for the rest of the day. Most everybody I would naturally socialise with are like me keeping their head down in almost self isolation and thus hoping not to be a Chonburi covid statistic.

I really miss my family back in the UK.

It has been well over 3 years since I saw any of them and there is no realistic chance of them getting over for a visit.

So if they cannot get to me that leaves me just one option.................................!

Had my car cleaned the other week, the lads cleaning it were taking the piss at the state of it given that it hadn’t been cleaned for over a year 🤣

The owners of these businesses must be minted.Mine opens at 9am, I arrived at 9.05 yesterday thinking I would be first in the Q, there was already 5 cars, so decided to leave it untill today, arrived at 8.55 and was 1st in the Q 😀. By the time they had finished mine at 9.25 their was 6 cars on the plot. Must say the owner is very concientious and makes sure all his lads do the job proper.

I had an invite from a mate to join him at his local water in Wales. Closes thing to a holiday I am likely to get this year!

It is 200 miles and with a half way stop at Telford services I managed it in 5 hours.

It's blistering hot and the fish have started spawning.  Oh hum.

Never the less, it's great to be sat lakeside in a beautiful area of West Wales.

An honest question about roads, etc in the UK.  I used to drive to my folks place nearly 300 miles away (SE Texas to North central Texas) in around 4 hours with a stop midway there.
